Q. Can I use eNotes with an Intel based Mac? A. eNotes is not (yet) a Native application, but you will don’t have any performance penalty when used with any of the new Macs with Intel processor. Q. I’ve registered my copy of eNotes with the serial number provided to me from Mosquito SW, but the application continues running in Demo mode. What I’m doing wrong? A. This is a very, very rare case. If you are experiencing this problem, then download, and use eNotes 1.2.1 or later. We have done this minor revision to bypass the registration problems caused from some non standard or base Mac OS X installations. Q. eNotes shows a message error saying that other copy of the application is running already with the same serial number. What I’m doing wrong? A. This problem has been fixed in eNotes 1.3 version. Please, update your eNotes copy. Your license only gives you the right to run a copy of eNotes, with a given serial number, simultaneously over your local network. Please, contact with our sales department if you need additional serial numbers for eNotes. Q. Where saves eNotes all my data? A. eNotes saves all your data in the eNotes_Notes file that you can find in the Application Support > eNotes folder, inside your Home folder. Q. How can I do a back-up of all my notes? A. You can use the File > Synchronize > iPod feature to copy all your data to the Apple iPod®. Then, you can use the same command to recover all the data over an empty copy of eNotes. Q. I’m not an iPod user. How could I get a back-up? A. If you don't have an iPod, use the File > Sinchronize > Other option to copy all your data to the selected Disk, Folder or device. You can use this copy for backup or sinchronization purposes. Q. What about an unexpected crash of eNotes? I will lose all my data? A. Never. The database engine used by eNotes is strong and crash aware. For example, you can create some notes, force an exit from eNotes using Command-Esc (or shuting down your Mac), and you will find your notes ready to use the next time you relaunch eNotes. Q. Ok, but... what about a casual database file deletion? A. eNotes never deletes nor corrupts his database file. If you loses your database file, then our advice is that you should use some kind of AntiVirus or anti-malware software to detect the culprit that could cause the deletion of your files. Q. Why is not working the Command-Shift-K shortcut for creating new notes via the Mac OS X Services feature? A. The eNotes Service only is available for Service savvy applications, and in this case you could have some shortcut conflict between the used by eNotes and the shortcuts defined by the active application. If this is the case, then you should select the eNotes service manually from the Application > Services menu. Q. How could I sinchronize the notes with my Palm? A. At this moment eNotes does not offer any buil-in feature to synchronize the notes with Palm OS powered PDAs. |
